One of Life's Most Important Questions

So everybody knows that it's my birthday in about two weeks. I say this because apparently even Gillette (you know... the razor company?) knows. So if they know, everybody does. Anyhoo, you may be wondering how I know that the Gillette el Razor Company knows that I am turning 18. Well I'll tell you. When I got home today I found a great little package in the mail. It was a razor complete with some gel! Hooray! Except... it was for a man. Yes. You heard me correctly. A man razor. With a complete guide of how to shave my beard 18 different ways.
Grand.
At first I thought it would be enjoyable to call and complain. I thought maybe I'd get another new razor out of it, only this time for a woman. Then I realized the coversation would probably go something like this:

Me: " Hello. I just wanted to call and complain that for my birthday you sent me a razor. For a man."
Gillette Complaint Center Person: " Oh... Okay, I'm sorry... uh do you want to send it back?"
Me: " Oh... no. I just wondered why you sent me a man's razor... did you think I was a man? Because this razor...is a mans... and you see I'm a woman. Did you not know that? I need a razor for a woman because I am one. So why didn't you send me a woman razor?!?!"
Gillette: "Does it really matter? It's free... and you have hair on your legs, and I'm pretty sure it shaves just like a woman's razor..."
Me: " Oh... ya. Yes that's true... oh. Okay well bye then..."
And I'd hang up in shame.
So then I started wondering: Why do I care? I shave. Hopefully every girl shaves... and so do boys. And they both use razors. So I should just use it and not worry about if it is a mans or womans razor. A razor is a razor. So I used it. And I figured out that it was pretty much the same. I didn't feel manly with using this new man razor. Nope. So that got me thinking and I came up with pretty much the most important of lifes questions ever.
WHY DO MEN AND WOMEN HAVE DIFFERENT RAZORS?!
They do the exact same thing. Shave. That's it. The end. So I posted my question of facebook. Apparently nobody else thought this was an important question, because I only got one response back. It said: "Women's razors have more conditioning strips. Men's razors generally have more blades." -Jason Chen.
(Thanks Jason for commenting by the way)  Another thing: They're different colors.
So great. I see why they are different. But WHY.
THIS IS WHAT I MUST KNOW!!!!
Why can't women have five blades and smoother legs, while men have a conditioned face? Is it not manly to have a conditioned face? Is it not womanly if we don't spend extra time shaving our legs when we could be doing it faster with five blades? Why don't we just combine all these great things and make the ultimate, UNISEX razor?! Everything you love in a razor combined into ONE! Conditioning strips, five blades, and it comes in an assortment of colors!
Wouldn't the world be a happier place?
I think so.
:)
What do you think?

Happy Birthday Aud, Brad and Emilee!

I know I just posted, but I had to share this important news flash: Aud, Brad and Emilee are officially 18! Hooray! As of today!!! :)
I have known Audrey since I was about three, because we danced for 12 years together and virginia tanner! She is the sweetest girl ever and I can always count on her to be there for me no matter what happens. We come up with the best ideas for fun things to do and usually they are totally random. She's so awesome, cute and funny! Sometimes when i'm with her my sides hurt because we laugh so hard! She is one of my best friends! :)
I've known Brad as long as Audrey ( because they are twins. duh). I didn't really know him as well since he didn't dance with aud and I, but sometimes he would impress us with some of his quality 5 year old dance moves. Which were pretty sick, if i remember correctly. He is an awesome kid, and he ends up giving me rides everywhere because The Marshalls live so close, and i'm a loser with no car! He is fun to be around and a great friend!
I met Emilee last year, and she is definitely one of the nicest, funniest girls I know. Because I have no social life and i'm in the IB program, I only have one class with her, but she always makes a point to say hi to me in the hall! She is so funny and when I get the chance I love hanging out with her! She is so much fun!!!
There you go! Those are the AWESOME people that turned EIGHTEEN today!!!
Happy Birthday Guys!

Rest In Peace Fishies

Four Fish Friends

May 2009- September 2009

In early May, four beautiful fish were born to Mr. and Mrs. Molly Black Fish, along with many brothers and sisters. They lived for a short time in a small tank, enjoying life and loving to swim around, when five of the fish were put up for adoption because of the lack of space and care in their first tank. Mr. and Mrs. Molly Black Fish gave them up for adoption with happy faces, knowing that they would have a good life with their new adoptive parents. They were soon adopted by Mr. Eric Higgins and Miss. Whitney Baum, who took the all five of the fish. They soon started their new and improved life swimming around a big huge mansion of a tank, eating all they could hold and playing new games. They especially enjoyed the swimming in holes in the rocks game, and the getting pushed around by the current of the water filter game. The especially loved the latter, playing it whenever they could. They loved their adoptive parents very much, and their adoptive parents loved them back. They would often be seen talking to each other and following their mommies finger around the tank. The five fish would also get very excited and wag their little tails whenever they saw their mommy coming to the tank because that meant either food or attention. They didn't get to see their daddy very much, since he didn't really care about his fish children, but sometimes he would pop in and say hi to "the fish" when he came to visit Whitney.
They loved their Grandma and Grandpa also, especially Grandpa because he would play games with them like chase the finger. Aunt Gretchen was fun to look at and Uncle Ethan was fun to play pretend to bite the nose. However one day the whole family had to leave the babies at home and gave them some extra food and let them play with each other. Soon, the playing turned to biting and being mean, and they got in a large fight. Four died because of the fighting and the mean feeder fish came and ate them up. Only one survived the terrible ordeal.
They are survived by their brother Grandmas and Grandpas, their aunts and uncles, as well as their Mother and Father
We miss them.
( At least mother does. Father doesn't care about the fish we adopted. )
The funeral service will be completed tomorrow at four o'clock, for family only. All condolences can be made at the bottom of this post, or on facebook.

ps: I think i'm going to buy new fish... are there any that live a relatively long time? haha :)

Surprise!

I walked in the door of my bedroom today, feeling sad because I have ( as always) a bunch of homework. When suddenly I thought " Hm... I smell roses." An overpowering sent of roses. At first I thought that maybe I had opened lotion or something... and the smell was just perfuming the whole house. Then I turned around and saw...
THESE! :)

How pretty are those!? And they smell so good!
Why did I get these here flowers you may ask?
I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I haven't been wronged... or been mad at anybody in particular.
I'm just pretty sure, one of my best guy friends in the whole wide world is probably one of the cutest boys ever. ( And I have a lot of cute friends for boys. So that's saying something. )
He did it... just because.
THANK YOU ERIC!
:)
